Dallas Mavericks Receive: F Cam Johnson (Sign & Trade), C Nic Claxton 

If the Dallas Mavericks are going to make a major trade with this pick, they need to find situations to exploit. Brooklyn may present one. This one would need to wait until July since it would require a sign-and-trade with Cam Johnson.

This team is about to hit the second apron of the luxury tax. Meanwhile, they’re not even close to contention. Something may have to give here. 

Again, in this deal, they’re sending sharpshooter Johnson to the Mavericks in a sign-and-trade. They’re also sending versatile big man Nic Claxton along as well. They’ll both help the Mavericks contend next season.
