It’s an interesting time to be a Utah Jazz fan. This team was supposed to be in the Victor Wembanyama sweepstakes this NBA season.

They’ll have extremely slim odds of landing the French phenom. At the same time, they didn’t make the playoffs either. 

Some would call that the worst situation they could be in. The Jazz are in the middle. Sure. On the other hand, this team has a lot of draft capital. Like…a lot of draft capital. 

They could hang onto it. The Jazz could build this team largely through the draft. At the same time, they won’t be able to keep everyone they select.

At some point, Utah will have to consolidate some of its picks.
