New York Knicks Receive: F/C Karl-Anthony Towns 

With this deal, the New York Knicks are creating a logjam. We don’t deny that. Randle, Robinson, and Towns cannot coexist. That’s fine.

The Knicks would likely look to make another deal following this one. In all likelihood, they’d look to move the seemingly disgruntled Robinson.

Would Towns and Randle struggle on defense? You bet. Would the offensive trade-off be worth their while? We’re willing to bet on that too.

Meanwhile, this is a fresh start for the Minnesota Timberwolves. They’re getting pieces that fit with Anthony Edwards and returning some of the draft capital they lost to acquire Rudy Gobert.

With that said, if the Knicks are worried about a Towns/Randle pairing on defense, this falls apart.
