The Atlanta Hawks have two starting-caliber big men. This put them in a bit of a bind as they enter the upcoming NBA offseason.
Who should they choose? Clint Capela and Onyeka Onkongwu are both excellent players. You could make a strong case for either.
On the one hand, Onkongwu is younger. The Hawks could keep him on that basis. He’s flashed a lot of potential as Capela’s backup.
On the other hand, the Hawks are in win-now mode. As it stands, Capela is more impactful.
The veteran big man is one of the best defensive big men in the NBA.
Could they move both and receive Deandre Ayton of the Phoenix Suns?
