
When an NBA team is trying to contend, they’ll typically make an all-in push.
How hard should that push be? Does the future become completely irrelevant at some point? Can a team give up all of their assets in an effort to win?
The Cleveland Cavaliers certainly gave up a lot last summer. By acquiring Donovan Mitchell, they punted on the future. Their first-round exit this season was disappointing in that light.
Could the Cavaliers push even further this summer? It would require boldness to do so.
