Toronto Raptors Receive: G Anfernee Simons, F Nassir Little, G/F Shaedon Sharpe, 2023 First-Round Pick (POR), 2028 First-Round Pick (POR) 

For each team, this deal depends on where the Portland Trail Blazers’ pick lands. If they get the first overall pick, they won’t do this deal. Trading the rights to draft Victor Wembanyama would be insane.

Even if Portland gets the second pick, they should probably rebuild around Scoot Henderson and trade Damian Lillard. 

By contrast, if this pick lands in the backend of the lottery, the Toronto Raptors may need more. In that event, tack an extra pair of first-round picks to their return. 

With that said, this is a good return for Toronto otherwise. They get their half-court creator in Simons. Perhaps most importantly, they get a potential superstar in Sharpe.

The fact that he’s Canadian bodes well for the only NBA franchise north of the border. In time, Sharpe should lead them back to the postseason.
