The Portland Trail Blazers will have to make decisions this NBA offseason.
Most of those decisions revolve around Damian Lillard. The Blazers could justify trading their star point guard. This team feels like it’s stuck in the mud.
On the other hand, Lillard is still performing at an elite level. That means the Blazers already have the most important part of a championship team – a first offensive option.
Why not keep him and strengthen the roster? The Blazers have assets. If they’re willing to spend them, they could reinvent the roster around Lillard.
A lot will also depend on what happens in the NBA Draft Lottery. For all we know, this team will be the one landing Victor Wembenyama.
Could they start by acquiring Myles Turner from the Indiana Pacers?
