Could the Los Angeles Lakers win an NBA title this year? It’s hard to believe we’re asking that question. This team was not supposed to be here.
For much of this season, nobody thought they could be.
After all, Russell Westbrook struggled to fit alongside LeBron James. There was no obvious solution in sight. Credit General Manager Rob Pelinka for finding one anyway.
He reinvented this roster at the trade deadline. Now, the Lakers are up 1-0 on the defending champion Golden State Warriors.
With that said, if they don’t win a title this year, they’ll have plenty of momentum to build from.
Could they capitalize on it by acquiring Bojan Bogdanovic of the Detroit Pistons?
