Why The Orlando Magic Do The Deal 

Some Magic fans may not love this acquisition. They’ll argue that the team already has a logjam af young guards. 

Fair. Markelle Fultz, Jalen Suggs, and Cole Anthony have all flashed potential at times. With that said, none of them have Poole’s shot creation abilities. 

Sure, the Magic will have questions to ask themselves following this deal. Should they stick with Suggs’ defense and playmaking? Is Fultz’s superior offensive game worth salvaging? Can Anthony and Poole co-exist? 

None of those questions matter here. Realistically, none of these players have done enough to stop Orlando from acquiring Poole.

He’d be the best offensive guard on their roster and make them a better team. It would be a helpful way to add more talent into the mix as the team develops.
