One thing isn’t: Antetkoumnpo is a future first-ballot Hall of Fame. This is one of the best players in the NBA – if not the best. If he requests a trade, Portland will have to pounce.
After all, they’d be pairing him with Damian Lillard. That should be the best duo in the NBA. Portland is in major need of either making the necessary bold move to find Lillard another superstar to play with, or just rebuild.
If this deal transpired, the Bucks would have a fantastic chance of winning an NBA title next season. They would need to quickly fill the rest of their rotation with impactful role players to surround Lillard and Antetokokounmpo.
