Sometimes, an NBA career is slow to get off the ground. All sorts of factors can limit a player’s trajectory. Sometimes, it’s simply a matter of talent.

Other times, there are other factors at play. For example, look at Christian Wood. This man’s talent is undeniable. Yet, for some reason, he can’t seem to stick with an NBA team.

It feels as though maturity issues may be partly to blame. Whatever it is, the Dallas Mavericks are not expected to bring the free agent back this summer.

As a result, they’ll be looking to replace him this summer. For a team that has a long list of needs to address this offseason, they will need to act quickly in order to give Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving the help they need.

Among the list of needs could be to replace Wood in the offseason. He is set to reach free agency without much reason to desire to return to Dallas.

Here are three moves they could make to replace Wood this summer.
