Philadelphia 76ers superstar Joel Embiid will miss Saturday’s Game 4 against the Brooklyn Nets. The NBA’s leading scorer is currently dealing with a sprained right knee.

Our sources told us that Embiid was in Philadelphia on Friday to undergo an MRI. He would miss at least Game 4, but it remains to be seen if he can play Monday’s Game 5.

Embiid fell awkwardly during the third quarter of Thursday’s Game 3 after trying to contest a finish attempt by Cam Thomas on a drive. Embiid tripped over Thomas, causing him to crash to the ground without being able to protect himself. He was often falling to the ground during the game overall.

“I’m okay,” Embiid said after the game. “Took a lot of shots today, but I’m fine.”

After the injury, Embiid was noticeably impacted after the injury as he was seen wearing an ice pack following the game. He was a new addition to the injury report ahead of Game 4.

“I don’t think he’s feeling good,” Rivers said Friday. “He was on the floor as much as the floor. Every time I looked, he was getting up.”

With the Sixers holding a 3-0 series lead, there is at least some protection for Philadelphia as Embiid recovers. If necessary, Game 6 would be held in Brooklyn on Thursday.

Embiid has been the focus of the Sixers’ game-planning efforts, often double-teamed. He began the series with 26 points, but this season’s leading scorer has experienced declining scoring volume in each game. He was limited to 20 points in Game 2 but was contained to 14 in his last outing.

Without Embiid in the lineup, the Sixers will surely lean on Tyrese Maxey and James Harden as the focuses of their attack.
