When you think of the Sacramento Kings, you don’t typically think of NBA title contention.
After all, prior to this season, the Kings were on a 16-year playoff drought. That’s an outrageous number. In fact, it’s the longest drought in NBA history.
It also happens to be over. In fact, the Kings are up 2-0 on the defending champions in the opening round. They’ve got a real chance to eliminate the Golden State Warriors.
If they continue on a deep playoff run, they may not make any major changes this summer.
With that said, if they don’t, the Kings could determine that they’re a piece away.
