The 2022-23 NBA season has been a wild ride for the Los Angeles Lakers. 

For some time, it looked like they’d miss the playoffs for a second consecutive season. With LeBron James on their roster, that would have been unacceptable. 

Luckily, they’ll be participating in the big dance. At the same time, the Lakers do not appear to be on track to win an NBA title this season.

There is plenty of room for improvement here. 

If the Lakers don’t make a deep playoff run, look for them to make a big trade this summer. Their assets are largely depleted, but they do have the resources to make one more move.
