Sometimes, an NBA player can become so overrated that they become underrated.
Realistically, it’s just difficult to accurately rate players. Some players are easier to place than others. For example, we know Joel Embiid is a superstar, and we know Furkan Korkmaz is a role player.
What about Rudy Gobert of the Minnesota Timberwolves? This is a multi-time Defensive Player of the Year winner.
The Wolves gave up four first-round picks to acquire him. Gobert is a highly regarded player.
With that said, he may not be as highly regarded as he used to be. If the Wolves opt to move Gobert this summer, they won’t get the same return that they sent out to acquire him.
Could they move him to the New Orleans Pelicans anyway?
