Diehard NBA fans know what we’re talking about when we refer to the “rebuilding cycle”.
Teams contend until they can’t anymore. Then, they blow up their core and rebuild. Most teams in the league are somewhere in that cycle.
With that said, some teams are not. Some teams are stuck on what’s known as the “mediocrity treadmill.”
These are teams that seem to occupy the middle of the standings on a long-term basis.
There may be no better example than the Washington Wizards. This team is never good, and they’re bad – they’re always just OK.
Could they work towards changing that this summer by sending Deni Avdija to the Indiana Pacers?
