Why The Los Angeles Lakers Do The Deal 

It seems as if the Lakers are looking for ways to upgrade their roster without sacrificing all of their future assets. 

If they plan on doing so, they need to target players who have fallen from grace. The hope is that those players can be a reclamation project for them. 

We think that’s entirely possible here. Lebron James already has experience playing with a floor spacing, defensively limited big man. He won an NBA championship alongside Kevin Love. 

Love didn’t have Davis covering for him, either. The Lakers could use the injection of playmaking and floor spacing that Vucevic provides.

All told, this acquisition ought to make them a better team. Whether Vucevic can protect the rim or not.
