You’ve got to account for the complexity of the problem. Some wounds only need a bandaid. Others require more urgent medical attention. 

The Timberwolves may have sought too simple of a solution when they acquired Rudy Gobert this summer. They landed the big man in an effort to mitigate Karl-Anthony Towns’ poor interior defense.

What they failed to account for was his poor perimeter defense. They also didn’t seem to have considered that playing the dual bigs would slow their pace, and limit Anthony Edwards.
