It happens. Perhaps that person “glowed up”. They’re not the person you left anymore. In all likelihood, that’s a regret you’ll have to live with.
A team will trade a player, and years later, he could look entirely different. If he’s improved enough, that team might want him back.
For example, look at Kyle Kuzma of the Washington Wizards. This is not the same player that the Los Angeles Lakers traded.
Kuzma has made major strides since departing from Hollywood.
