An NBA player’s talent is the primary factor that determines their trade value. It Isn’t the only one.
If a player is prone to get injured, that will impact their value. A player that can’t stay on the floor is only worth so much, no matter how good they may be.
At the same time, a player’s contentedness with their current team is a factor as well. When teams know that a player is unhappy somewhere, it negatively impacts their value. They become distressed assets.
For example, look at Mitch Robinson of the New York Knicks. His trade value took a hit when he took to social media to express dissatisfaction with his role.
On the other hand, Patrick Williams of the Chicago Bulls just can’t seem to stay healthy.
Could the two switch sides this summer?
