For years now, the Golden State Warriors have been synonymous with NBA dominance. They aren’t quite at that level anymore as major financial decisions loom.

It’s safe to say, they’ve successfully defined this era of NBA basketball. It’s been quite the run. Like all good things, it may come to an end soon. 

After all, the Warriors are about to get prohibitively expensive. That’s the cost of building a dynasty. Eventually, you can’t afford to prolong it. 

Jordan Poole’s extension kicks in this summer. Draymond Green will need a new deal soon. At some point, somebody is going to have to be the odd man out. Could it be Klay Thompson?
