Why The Miami Heat Do The Deal 

Some will question this move for Miami. They may not love the fit between the current roster and Simons. 

Specifically, they’ll cite Simons’ fit alongside Tyler Herro. These are two of the better young score-first guards in the NBA. Can they really share the basketball? 

On the Heat, we believe they could. After all, this team gets the bulk of its playmaking from Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo. Their combined distributing abilities should make this backcourt pairing viable. 

If nothing else, Simons should be a huge upgrade over Lowry. He’s clearly nearing the end of his career.

On the other hand, between Adebayo, Simons, and Herro, the Heat will have an exciting young core around Butler.
