Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks says he’s not getting the same joy out of playing basketball that he usually does this NBA season. 

That’s unfortunate. Doncic brings joy to so many that watch him play basketball. It only feels fair that he should receive the same joy in return. 

In fairness, since acquiring Kyrie Irving, the Mavericks are 3-7. So far, this is not going well. That must be frustrating for Doncic after so many years without a star teammate. 

Doncic shouldn’t fret. Neither should the Mavericks. This roster is simply incomplete.

If they’re able to retain Irving in free agency this summer, they should be able to put a better group together for next season. 

Could OG Anunoby be part of that group?
