Of course, we do need to evaluate players in a vacuum as well. 

From that perspective, perhaps team building is a two-step process. The first step is to determine who the individual players are.

The second step is to determine whether they’re likely to complement each other. 

The Bulls don’t appear to have followed that process in assembling their current roster. Sure, they assessed who the players were. The Bulls put together a talented roster.

It just doesn’t fit together. Between Vucevic, Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan, the Bulls have a whole lot of playmaking – and very little defense. With that in mind, some expect them to make significant changes this summer. 

Would this be a significant enough change?
