Memphis Grizzlies Receive: G/F Jaylen Brown 

Memphis is a popular destination for Brown. Realistically, they’re a popular destination for any available star. 

In all likelihood, this team is a piece away from serious title contention. Brown could be that piece. The Memphis Grizzlies could use his shot creation to complement the elite playmaking of Ja Morant. 

Meanwhile, the Boston Celtics are getting a young star back here in Bane. They’re also getting a starting-caliber point guard in Jones. All told this is a good haul for the Celtics. 

Arguably, it’s too good. The Grizzlies may not see this as being worth their time. Bane likely has the potential to make Brown’s impact, so why would they give up additional assets?

At the same time, Brown is currently a better player than Bane – the Celtics won’t do a one-for-one. 

So, if there’s no framework here, the Celtics may have to turn elsewhere.
