There are some players in the NBA who make life complicated for their teams.
We don’t mean that they’re bad players. In fact, those guys make life simple for their teams – they don’t play them.
By contrast, some excellent players have some glaring limitations. These are the players we’re talking about. If not for some hole in their game, they’d be among the best players in the entire league.
For example, take Karl-Anthony Towns of the Minnesota Timberwolves. He’s one of the best offensive big men in the history of the league.
Unfortunately, he’s a negative defender. Having him on your roster is therefore complicated.
Should the Brooklyn Nets pursue him this summer anyway?
