At some point, we’ve all been stuck in a holding pattern. This happens to NBA players and teams, too.

It may have been at a dead-end job. It could have been in a bad relationship. Either way, you’ve got that sense that something needs to change – but unless you force it to, it won’t. 

Damian Lillard and the Portland Trail Blazers may be in that holding pattern. For quite some time now, the Blazers have been outside of the championship picture.

It’s difficult to envision them getting back into it any time soon. 

In fact, they’re likely to miss the playoffs this season. Recent comments by Lillard suggest that he’s not pleased about that. 

Could the Blazers send him to the Sacramento Kings this summer?
