Many fans were shocked that the Raptors didn’t move one of Siakam or OG Anunoby at this year’s deadline. They were two of the hottest names on the market. 

Instead, the team opted to make a win-now upgrade. The Raptors flipped a first-round pick for Jakob Poeltl. To their credit, their play has improved as a result. 

It still looks far from championship level. The Raptors could easily decide to retool this summer. If they did, this is a good deal to help them do it. 

After all, Poole is already a star-caliber guard. The Raptors could use his half-court creation. Meanwhile, Kuminga has superstar potential.
