Some would say that loyalty is a dying principle. We’re not so sure about that. Were people ever loyal? Are they less loyal now than before? These are questions outside of our scope: this is NBA Analysis.
It does seem fair to say that loyalty is not what it used to be in the National Basketball Association. Players don’t commit to an organization like they used to.
If they’re not satisfied with their situation, they’ll look to head elsewhere.
Just look at Damian Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers. Plenty have suggested that he should demand a trade, but he’s declined to do so.
It feels like he’ll stick with Portland for better or for worse.
