The Lakers wouldn’t be bringing him in to start, either. They should either upgrade or offer that role back to D’Angelo Russell. Dinwiddie would be coming to LA to be a sixth man.
That’s a role he ought to thrive in. Dinwiddie is easily qualified to run a second unit. In having him do so, the Lakers could have quality playmaking on the floor for entire games.
