A modern NBA team needs a good mix of playmakers and play-finishers to be successful.
The playmaker is the guy with the ball. Typically, we’re talking about a player who’s a strong scorer and passer. His job is to create offense for himself and others.
Play finishers are the “others”. Typically, we’re talking about two types of players: pick-and-roll finishing big men, and floor spacers.
Still, some players are both. Take Bradley Beal of the Washington Wizards. He’s got value on and off the ball.
Meanwhile, the Orlando Magic are stacked with playmakers, but lacking play finishers.
Could they acquire Beal this summer?
