Expectations as a tricky thing. Sometimes, they just aren’t fair. The same holds true in the NBA.

On the other hand, we can’t help having them. It’s human nature. When we know what’s going to happen, we wonder how it might look. 

Sometimes, a team enters a season with expectations. They may exceed them, meet them, or fall short of them. When this occurs, sometimes, it leads to some real changes.

The Chicago Bulls have fallen short of expectations in 2022-23. They could be forced to undergo some major changes in the offseason.

By contrast, the New York Knicks have exceeded them. They could be in a prime position to make a splash move to add to their core and become a major contender.
