Lately, everyone around the NBA is talking about the Memphis Grizzlies. They aren’t doing it for the reasons one would hope. 

It’s unfortunate. We’ll try to be delicate about this. Let’s just say that franchise point guard Ja Morant has not been acting in a way that the league would want him to. 

Will this have a major impact on the team’s season? Perhaps. Will it have a major impact on the team’s future? It’s doubtful.

Morant is likely to do whatever is needed to get back on the floor, and his incredible talents will continue to lead Memphis once he does. 

With that in mind, the Grizzlies need to sort their house out. Once they’re done with that, they need to upgrade their roster. As great as this team is, they’re probably a piece away from real title contention. 

Could Kawhi Leonard of the Los Angeles Clippers be that piece?
