In the NBA, few players hold the same value as a young star.
What more could you want? The top 5 players or so in the league are the most valuable. After them, players who produce at a star level with room to improve reign supreme on the open market.
At the same time, veterans win games – and championships. Teams look to build toward the future, but at some point, they’ve got to turn to the present.
The New Orleans Pelicans may be at that point. It’s hard to imagine a more talented duo of young stars than Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram.
On the other hand, the Pelicans are in the midst of another mediocre season.
Could they send Ingram to the Detroit Pistons?
