Of course they should. That quality player is Joel Embiid. 

He’s a very serious candidate to win the league’s Most Valuable Player award this season. At the moment, he’s probably the runner-up to Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets. 

You can’t put a price on that type of talent. The Celtics can’t either. Assuming they don’t win an NBA title this year, they’d have to accept this deal if it’s on the table. 

The inside-outside dynamic between Embiid and Jayson Tatum ought to be especially effective. The two are a natural pairing on paper.
