Some NBA careers are just frustrating. You can see the potential. It’s tantalizing.

If something could just go right for this player, there wouldn’t be any stopping them. 

So far, Jonathan Isaac of the Orlando Magic has had one of those careers. He looks like a perennial Defensive Player of the Year winner when he’s healthy. He’s got some offensive chops, too. Unfortunately, he’s almost never healthy. 

On the other hand, he’s given us some reason for hope this year. Isaac has played in 11 games in 2022-23.

He’s on a minutes restriction, but that’s more games than he played in the previous two seasons combined – his total there was 0. 

Should the Magic trade him now while he’s got some value?
