The Nets badly need one. Granted, they’re giving up one of the best 3-and-D wings in the NBA to get one here. That’s fine. With such a surplus of 3-and-D wings on the roster, that’s a sacrifice they’ll need to make. 

Moreover, they don’t need to sacrifice their identity in doing it. Murray isn’t strictly a primary playmaker. He’s also one of the best point-of-attack defenders in the NBA. 

His unusually long arms give opposing ball handlers fits.
