Life is all about finding your balance. In NBA terms, that means finding roster balance.
It’s OK to be stronger at one position than another, but if you’re too weak at any given position, you’ve got a problem.
Moreover, it’s not enough to have quality players at a position. You also need them to have a wide range of skills.
For example, having a platoon of ball-handling guards only goes so far if none of them can shoot.
That’s the dilemma the Orlando Magic are currently in. In fact, this team could use more shooting in general. They’re stacked with playmakers, but a little light on play-finishers.
