Why The Golden State Warriors Do The Deal
Saying goodbye to Green won’t be easy. It may also be necessary.
As we said, the veteran will soon be due for a new contract. The Warriors can’t afford to give it to him. They also can’t afford to part with the significantly younger Andrew Wiggins or Jordan Poole to make room for him.
With that in mind, Green is an eligible trade candidate. Still, the Warriors need to decide before they make this deal. Are they ready to accept the end of their dynasty, or are they trying to extend it?
If it’s the latter, flipping Kuminga for Turner makes sense as well. The Warriors have not featured a big man with Turner’s skillset during this run.

His ability to space the floor and defend the rim should make them a better team. Acquiring him this summer would be better than never taking the action to do so.
