In 2023, if you were to take a random NBA fan from any era and ask them who they think would be the better team between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Memphis Grizzlies, they would probably pick the Los Angeles Lakers. 

It is likely that they will have some additional questions as well. You may be asked a question like “since when is there a team called the Grizzlies? Or you may be asked “when did the Grizzlies leave Vancouver?” 

If you told them the Lakers were led by LeBron James, how would they react? It may help to tell them that some people think he is the best player ever if they are really old fans.
