The NBA is a narrative-driven league. You may not like it. You’ve still got to accept it.
The stories that get told in between the games and the transactions are what make the league go around.
With that said, everyone loves a good reunion narrative. When a star player goes back to a team they used to play for, the narrative writes itself.
If he’s going back to that team for a third time, it’s an even better story.
We’re not saying LeBron James is likely to head back to the Cleveland Cavaliers this summer. He isn’t. At the same time, we wouldn’t rule anything out, either.
