Why The Chicago Bulls Do The Deal 

This may not be a conventional return for a star player. That doesn’t mean it isn’t a good return. 

Moreover, LaVine isn’t a star who’s going to command a massive haul of first-round picks. With that said, the Bulls could probably get a couple more elsewhere. If they accept this deal, it will mean that they like these players. 

There’s plenty to like here. The most productive member of the bunch is probably Jarred Vanderbilt. He’s a hyper-aggressive, versatile defender with solid passing and inside scoring skills as well. 

Yet, functionally, the Bulls may covet Bamba the most. They’ve been missing a player with the ability to protect the rim.

All told, this deal provides the Bulls with an opportunity to start their rebuild off on the right foot with a quality cast of young players.
