At some point, we’ve all been at a crossroads. You’ve got a big decision to make, and it could take you one way or another. NBA teams find themselves at a crossroads sometimes too.
A middling organization may want to pick a direction. They could launch themselves into contention, or, they could decide to rebuild.
The Brooklyn Nets may reach such a crossroads this summer. Following the departure of Kevin Durant, they’ve put a solid group of defensive specialists together.
However, they’re lacking the offensive punch they’ll need to contend.
On the other hand, the Washington Wizards have been at that crossroads for quite some time. This team is in no shape to compete for the NBA title, but they won’t be earning top lottery odds either.
Could these two squads help each other choose opposite directions this summer?
