Why The Brooklyn Nets Do The Deal

Of course, the Nets were one of the most talked about teams of the deadline. They acquired Bridges in the process of trading Kevin Durant.

Now, they’re left with an interesting roster. The Nets may have one of the best defensive teams in the NBA moving forward this season. They may also have one of the worst offensive teams in the league.

We’ll see how that goes. If the Nets are competitive, they may be buyers this summer. On the other hand, if they aren’t, they should be sellers.

In that event, this is a good return for Bridges. The calculus isn’t complicated here – if the Nets are selling, they should move Bridges for as much draft capital as they can get. If this is it. they should accept the deal.
