If you can’t find a good deal, you may have to take the best deal you can find. NBA teams can find themselves in the same predicament.
Suppose you’ve had an item for sale for a year. It doesn’t seem like anybody’s buying it at the price you listed. Unfortunately, you may have to settle for a lesser deal.
If they try long enough to move a player, and they can’t find a return for him, they may eventually have to settle for a smaller return than they’d hoped for.
Just look at the New York Knicks. Everybody knows they’re looking to move Cam Reddish. Interest seems minimal.
It may be time for the organization to accept that they’re not going to get much value for the young wing.
If they can, would they accept this deal from the Denver Nuggets?
