It is often said that championships define the legacy of a player in the NBA.
There are those who would argue it isn’t fair. To be certain, “ring culture” has degraded the reputations of some incredible basketball players.
On the other hand, the ability to reach the ultimate goal remains the highest standard for a basketball player.
It is hard to ignore the fact that LeBron James has already won four NBA championships to this point. But if some of his admirers are to claim him as the best to ever play the game, he will need one more ring.
Despite this, he has done better than Chris Paul. Despite his storied career, he has yet to come away with the ultimate prize, and at his age, it could very well be the last time he gets it.
If he were to play for the Los Angeles Lakers, would he have a better chance of doing so?
