We’ll work backward here. Why would the Knicks trade Rose?
That’s not a difficult question to answer. With the emergence of Jalen Brunson, Rose has seen his role decrease with the Knicks this season.
In fact, it appears as if both the player and the organization have a mutual interest in parting ways.
If that’s true, the Knicks could do worse than flipping Rose for Kennard. He’s a shooting specialist, but his proficiency as a movement shooter makes him a lethal one. He’d be a nice addition to this roster.
