Meanwhile, a rebuilding team like the Pistons could benefit from plugging a movement shooter like Robinson into their rotation. He’s a defensive liability, but that won’t matter until deep into the playoffs.
The Pistons shouldn’t expect to be there for a few years. Still, they don’t do this deal for Robinson – or his contract. They do it for the first-round pick.
