Why The Los Angeles Clippers Do The Deal

Russell is a ball-dominant guard. He’s at his best when he’s probing opposing defenses in pick-and-roll actions.

That’s probably not ideal for the Wolves. Anthony Edwards needs the ball, and so does Karl-Anthony Towns. Russell’s skillset should suit the Clippers more readily.

After all, this attack is built around Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. While they’re both capable on-ball players, they also each thrive off-ball.

Having Russell operate pick-and-rolls will maximize them both.
