
If you haven’t noticed, NBA players get paid – a lot.
It’s something that people complain about. Frankly, we think those complaints are shortsighted. The players get paid in accordance with the revenue they generate. If you think their contracts are big, you should see what team owners make.
At the same time, some players get overpaid. For that reason, teams will sometimes trade a player before they’re due for a contract. Call it the price of doing business.
With that in mind, the Charlotte Hornets could look to move PJ Washington this year. He’s due for a rookie extension soon, and as one of the worst teams in the NBA, they may not feel like investing in their core.
